- "You protect me and keep me safe. You give me food and everything I need.." - Saskia,Village of Hope resident, age 8
The Village of Hope is a safe haven for children who have been rescued from a life of neglect, restavek (child-slavery), or child-trafficking. The children at the Village of Hope have either lost both of their parents, or have only one living parent who is unable (incarcerated, ill, or absent) to care for them.
Children at the Village of Hope live in warm, loving homes under the care of trained "Mamas". They attend school right on the campus of the Village of Hope, under the watchful eye of two teachers and one teaching assistant.
In 2021 it is New Life for Haiti's goal to add a social worker on staff at the Village of Hope. Will you help us do this?
